Founders and directors

James Chaperlin

Managing Director

James is co-founder and Managing Director of the business. Since the journey began in 2016, James has been integral in building the business and ensuring our core values and morals are upheld.

Wayne Brown

Financial Director

Wayne is co-founder and Financial Director of the business. Wayne started Active in 2016 with co-founder James. Responsible for the finances, Wayne has ensured the business could grow sustainably over the years.

Perry Burton

NTE Operations Manager

Perry joined Active in 2022 as an Area Manager. Having worked in the security industry since he was 18, Perry’s experience has given him a greater understanding of how operations run effectively.

Matt Burke

Operations Manager Events

Matt joined Active in 2021. He comes from a hospitality background and has worked in the industry since he was 17. Matt is responsible for all things HR and supporting all areas of the business.

Oliver Graubaek

Area Manager, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire & Greater Manchester

Oliver started with Active in 2022 as a Door Supervisor. With just 6 years in the industry, he is a great example of how our progression scheme works and has a bright future with Active.

Matt Burke

Area Manager, North East

Darren started with Active in 2020 as a Mobile Security Officer during the Covid-19 pandemic. His commitment saw him progress through the ranks to Area Manager for the North East.

Kevin Brown

Area Manager, East Riding of Yorkshire & Humberside

Lisa has been with Active since 2017 and has worked in the night-time economy for over 20 years. Promoted to Area Supervisor in 2023, she became Area Manager in 2024.

Sophie Shepherd

Screening & Vetting Manager

Sophie joined Active in 2021 and has been responsible for the high standards of vetting and screening for all employees in the company.

Katelin Brooke

Events Coordinator & Office Support

Katelin joined in 2021, first working as a steward. She now supports the operations teams and supervises the cleaners and stewards within the company.

Beth Nichol

Payroll Administrator

Beth joined the company in 2024 to support the payroll and financing department whilst also supporting the office team.
